Energy Harvesters
Will be used to wrap around the cylindrical leadless
pacemaker. The blood pressure causes the harvester on the pacemaker surface
to deform and produce output electricity. The advantage of the new design is that
the space inside the tubular harvester is not occupied by the energy conversion
structures. Therefore, pulse generators can be integrated with the harvesters to
reduce the volume and number of implanted devices.
